Whether you smoke or not everyone should visit the site, Second Hand Smoke is No Joke. This site shows the effects of second hand smoke and relates the issue to today. Both sides of the issue are presented and it helps one see the prospective of both the smoker and the non-smoker. It helps smokers understand non-smokers point of view and, helps the non-smokers understand the smokers point of view. It does a great job of being fairly unbiased. The site comments on political issues of today that have to do with banning smoking in public places. It presents why smoking should be banned according to non-smokers and why it should not be banned according to smokers. This is a great side to go to, to see the issue completely laid out. It is also great to go to to learn more about both sides. This issue effects all of us even if you do not smoke because of the effects of second hand smoke. I encourage all to read this site so that you can become more knowledgeable in this issue and maybe help solve it.
Another blog worth visiting is the People Shouldn't Kill People, So Neither Should the Government. This blog is devoted to the death penalty and the arguments for why the death penalty should be abolished. It makes many great points including the cost of the death penalty, how different each states standards are (and how different each countries standards are), how bad the death row inmates representations is, and so much more. If you are for the death penalty read this site and consider the arguments that are made and if you are against the death penalty read this site and be encouraged that our country is getting one step closer in abolishing it.
If you are interested in immigration go to Crossing the Border, Crossing the Line? This site shows that everything about illegal immigration is not bad and shows to those that are not apathetic towards illegal immigration how it actually helps our economy. It does a great job in showing the opinions of both sides of the argument and I feel it does a good job in convincing others that there is positive in the negative situation of illegal immigration.

Everything is debatable. Are you offending someone with your belief? Stand true to what you believe and let those who believe differently not influence or make you question your beliefs.
All of the sites you mentioned are good sites for debatable topics and each one has his/her own feeling about each topic.
I don't smoke, but I don't believe I have the right to keep someone else from smoking.
I have never murdered anyone, but I do believe there are offenses that demand the death penalty.
I also believe our country is a great melting pot, but we have almost boiled over!!!
One of the major problems in America today is stepping on the rights of others.
Where are my rights?
I'm not an illegal immigrant, but they get free medical care and we have a $29,000.00 medical bill hanging over us because we didn't have insurance.
I have never tried to smoke, think it is disgusting, but I don't think it should be up to me or the government where someone smokes.
Lastly, the death penalty has long been proven to be a deterrent to crime. Public hangsing would stop some of the senseless raping, murder, child abuse, etc. that keeps escalating.
Additional comment - Just because someone doesn't believe in God and Creation does not mean the rest of the United States should fall in line. Taking the Ten Commandments out of government buildings in a ridiculous abuse of power. When did we allow a minority to define American values?
to christian teacher...you are right those sites I mention are all great debatable topics, ones that are also very complex and so I do not have time to go into them here. However, I think the sites offer a lot of information on their issue and if one wishes to learn more about those topics one should read them. I think that you might find it very interesting to read the site on smoking and the site on the death penalty since the authors have a different view point then you do. They might help you see the other view better and in turn you own view might be changed or made stronger.
To anonymous...I recommend you read the posts on the death penalty site. I think that you would find it quite interesting to know that there is an alternative to someone being hanged...its called life in prison. It makes a whole lot more sense for many different reasons that are discussed on the death penalty site. Please read it.
